Four members of three chapters attended the Grand East at Number 10, Duke Street St. James’, London, where they were promoted to the Thirtieth Degree.

The candidates,Illustrious Brothers Brian Chaddock and Garth Routh from the James D Murray Chapter, along with Illustrious Brother Stewart Mills of Bury Chapter and Illustrious Brother Reverand Donald Johnson of the Colne St Bartholomew Chapter, were supported by the Inspector General, Very Illustrious Brother Alexander Sillars McLaren and the District Recorder, along with the Recorder of the Colne Chapter.

After the ceremony, all brethren dined at Mark Mason’s Hall, St James Street. The Sovereign Grand Commander Most Puissant Brother John Boyington, CBE, addressed those in attendance and as they were leaving greeted each brother personally.
